Our Skills Development Program covers a variety of practical activities designed to build essential life skills for students. Each activity is tailored to promote independence, responsibility, and personal growth:
1.Vegetable Garden:
Students learn how to plant, grow, and harvest vegetables, gaining knowledge of basic gardening techniques. This hands-on experience teaches patience, responsibility, and sustainable practices while promoting a connection to nature and healthy eating habits.
2. Cooking & Cleaning:
In the kitchen, students learn to prepare meals, follow recipes, and handle basic cooking tasks such as chopping, boiling, and baking. They also practice cleaning skills, which include washing dishes, maintaining hygiene, and organizing spaces. These tasks build self-sufficiency, time management, and teamwork
3. Maintenance:
Students are introduced to basic maintenance skills like fixing simple equipment, performing minor repairs, and maintaining tools. This fosters problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a sense of responsibility for the environment around them.
4. Assisting Teachers:
By helping teachers with classroom tasks such as setting up materials, assisting peers, and organizing resources, students build interpersonal skills, confidence, and a sense of leadership. This activity encourages collaboration and communication in a supportive environment.
5. Sewing and Knitting:
Students learn the basics of sewing and knitting, including stitching, pattern reading, and creating simple garments or crafts.
These activities develop fine motor skills, creativity, and patience while offering a sense of accomplishment through finished projects. Each of these activities contributes to the overall development of students, helping them prepare for daily life and potential future employment opportunities.
